The Flying Clubs portion of the document is being reviewed by the Deschutes Flying Club, with assistance from AOPA Flying Clubs Initiative Director, Steve Bateman, a Central Oregon resident. Flying clubs make flying affordable for persons that otherwise wouldn’t be able to own an aircraft. The “policy” in this document does nothing to help flying clubs flourish at the Bend Airport. If anything, it poses obstacles, and contains unwelcoming language.
