They say the “Big One” is coming, and when it does, most Oregon airports will be rendered useless. Most roads and bridges too. The State is working to change that. In the meantime, there’s an organization that formed last year, and now it’s being formally organized, following last year’s state-wide exercise to prove that small aircraft can deliver food and supplies to the most remote parts of the state. A half-dozen pilots from Central Oregon participated in that exercise, and now you can join them in this year’s exercise. Don’t have a plane? Be a non-flying part of the ground support team.
